Our Commitment Towards Corporate Social Responsibility

Vulcan Seals is committed to having a positive impact on society and the environment, through its operations, products or services and through its interaction with key stakeholders such as employees, communities and suppliers. We support local, national and global communities and overseas projects in under-developed regions through charitable work and donations.

Vulcan Seals Bridge to the World Fund

Vulcan Seals set up the ‘Bridge to the World Fund’ and was established in honour and memory of Gordon Bridge OBE. Vulcan Seals believes in employee empowerment and will match any funds raised by an employee for any registered charity up £1,000 pa.

The ‘Bridge to the World Fund’ projects are dotted across the globe. Our most significant charitable donation has been centered on enabling clean water to be available for communities in Africa via the Sand Dams Worldwide charity. Since 2019, Vulcan Seals have contributed funds to enable 14 sand dams to be built, significantly improving the quality of life for the surrounding communities.

Mary's Meals

Mary’s Meals grew out of a charity called Scottish International Relief (SIR), which was set up after
Magnus MacFarlane-Barrow and his brother Fergus took aid from their home in Argyll, Scotland to
Medjugorje, Bosnia-Herzegovina, during the conflict in 1992.

Open Arms Malawi

Open Arms Malawi believes that every child has a right to survival and development. Their principle aim is to provide care to Malawi’s vulnerable children so that they can survive their first years. As soon as children have recovered their health, Open Arms Malawi supports their return home so that the children can grow up to thrive within their home communities.

Work towards a better tomorrow

The drive to sustain our planet has never been more important. Here at Vulcan Seals we are working with lean principles to not only streamline our operations and production processes but to limit waste and our impact on the external environment. In addition, we are working towards certification for ISO 14001:2015 (Environmental Management) and ISO 45001:2015 (Occupational Health and Safety Management).
