Human Rights Policy

The purpose of the VULCAN Human Rights Policy is to communicate to our stakeholders the ethical and social values we respect and our commitment to upholding human rights by promoting these values. Through these principles, we aim to be a business that inspires people to join and be associated with us.

Human rights are universal rights that every individual is entitled to enjoy and have protected. They are best defined as the rights that require us to treat others as we would want to be treated and protect us – as individuals and groups – from abuses of power.

Our Commitment

  • We conduct our business to the highest ethical standards, in accordance with our values, respecting the rights of all people and complying with all legal requirements.
  • We provide fair and open dialogue with all our stakeholders, ensuring effective and courteous communication with external parties.
  • We recognize our responsibility to respect human rights and avoid any complicity in human rights abuses.
  • We treat everyone who works for VULCAN fairly and without discrimination. Our employees, agency staff, and suppliers are entitled to work in an environment and under conditions that respect their rights and dignity.

Employee Relations

  • All employees are expected to conduct themselves according to the highest ethical standards.
  • We ensure that no form of discrimination occurs in any aspect of our business, including recruitment, compensation, promotion, training, termination, or retirement. Discrimination based on race, color, ethnic origin, gender, age, religious beliefs, disability, marital status, social class, nationality, sexual orientation, gender reassignment, or employment status is strictly prohibited.
  • We are committed to ensuring that our employees work in an environment free of physical, psychological, or verbal abuse, threats of abuse, and sexual or other forms of harassment. Such behavior is strictly forbidden.
  • In line with legislation, best practices, and current industry knowledge, we take all reasonable steps to prevent accidents and health hazards associated with the workplace, minimizing hazards as far as is reasonably practicable.
